Alhurra (الحرة) is an Arabic-language satellite television network headquartered in Springfield, Virginia, and serving the Middle East and North Africa.
The network has two channels, one is Alhurra (الحرة), and the other is Alhurra Iraq (الحرة عراق). Alhurra is the flagship channel of the network that broadcasts news and current affairs programs, documentaries, discussion shows, talk shows, and other programs. Alhurra Iraq broadcasts the Alhurra content, along with additional programming specially for Iraqi people.
The network is operated by the Middle East Broadcasting Networks (MBN) and is funded by the Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG: a U.S. government agency).
